Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
